One of the requirements of becoming COVID safe is publishing various methods of how we plan to protect and mitigate. The safety of our staff and customers is always paramount and at the forefront of our planning.
We also want to be very open and transparent with our staff and customers regarding our plan. Please read on to see what we will be doing at Coljan in order to best protect.
Cleaning and hygiene
We will be cleaning on a regular basis and in-between each changeover using antiviral disinfectant effective against Coronavirus; certified to European standards EN1276 & EN14476
Increased cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas like door handles, counters etc
Whilst our toilets will be closed to public use, hand washing and hand sanitiser will be available
A comprehensive risk assessment and accompanying training plan on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing will be delivered to our staff
Social distancing and dining
Our restaurant will only be available for bookings only from 14th July 2020. Tables have been positioned to meet the 1metre plus requirements
We will have reduced numbers in our dining spaces (when open) at any one time
Chairs have been posited so you have the option of facing / side by side seating
Our dining room will be well ventilated by open doors / windows etc at all times whilst aiming to maintain a comfortable environment
Staff will be wearing appropriate PPE and will be increasing their personal hand washing to minimise any transmission
Cutlery etc will only be bought out to guests as required, we have also changed from sugar cubes to single sachets for sugar and sauces
Our garden area, will be open for customers to enjoy outside seating
We will be asking all guests to record their information to aid track and trace should we be asked – this includes walk-in guests
A contact free ordering system will be made available for when the dining room opens
We will prefer to take contactless payments rather than cash however, cash will still be accepted
Whilst service may be different and slightly slower, we hope you can understand and appreciate, our industry and the requirements to maintain safety have changed considerably.
We want Coljan to be a safe space for customers and staff.
We will get better and make continue improvements to our processes, however in the short term your patience, understanding and support is appreciated.
